Discover Santunan Emas: A Community for Muslim Seniors to Learn, Connect & Stay Active

Growing older is a journey that comes with its own blessings, changes and challenges.
It is a nikmat and amanah from Allah, a stage of life that gives us the opportunity to slow down, reflect and continue drawing closer to Him.
But ageing can also bring changes to our daily lives. We may not move as quickly as before, our social circles may become smaller, and opportunities to stay active or continue learning may become less frequent.
For children and caregivers, there is often another question:
How can I help my loved one continue living an active, meaningful and spiritually fulfilling life?
This is where Santunan Emas comes in.
An initiative by Masjid Al-Muttaqin, Singapore, Santunan Emas brings Muslim seniors together in a welcoming community centred around faith, active ageing, companionship and lifelong learning.
More importantly, it is a space where our seniors can continue to feel connected, valued and supported through their golden years.
What is Santunan Emas?

Santunan Emas is a Muslim senior community in Singapore for seniors aged 60 and above, as well as the families and caregivers who support them.
Rather than simply organising one-off activities, Santunan Emas creates opportunities for seniors to come together regularly, learn, stay active and build meaningful relationships.
For some, it may be a place to deepen their religious knowledge. For others, it may be a reason to get moving, learn something new or simply spend time with friends over a meal.
For families searching for elderly care Muslim programmes and support in Singapore, Santunan Emas offers something that goes beyond physical well-being. It brings together spiritual guidance, active ageing and community support in one welcoming environment.
Every senior comes with a different story and different needs. Santunan Emas aims to provide a space where they can continue their journey with ihsan, dignity and a sense of belonging.
Our 5 Key Domains
At Santunan Emas, we believe that ageing well goes beyond staying physically healthy.
Our programmes are guided by 5 Key Domains that support different aspects of a senior's well-being:
Spiritual
Physical
Cognitive
Social
Volunteerism
Together, these five domains shape Santunan Emas' approach to active ageing for Muslims, supporting seniors physically, mentally, socially and spiritually.
More Than Activities, A Community

Sometimes, what we need most as we grow older is simply good company.
Santunan Emas creates a space where seniors can see familiar faces, make new friends, learn together and continue being part of an active community.
Weekly sessions may include Islamic learning, physical activities, cognitive exercise sessions, social activities and opportunities to contribute through volunteering.
It is not about filling up a senior's schedule. It is about creating meaningful moments to look forward to.
For caregivers and family members, knowing that a loved one has a safe and welcoming community can also bring greater peace of mind. Santunan Emas recognises that supporting our seniors also means supporting the families who walk alongside them.
Come and Be Part of Santunan Emas

Santunan Emas is not only about keeping busy in our golden years. It is about continuing to learn, move, contribute and, most importantly, feel part of a community that cares.
Whether you are a senior looking to build new friendships, deepen your religious knowledge and stay active, or a caregiver looking for a nurturing and faith-centred community for someone you love, Santunan Emas welcomes you.
Joining is simple. Register once to access Santunan Emas' regular programmes and activities, and receive your personal QR code for attendance. Roadshows are the exception and may require separate registration.
May our later years continue to be filled with beneficial knowledge, meaningful companionship, good deeds and opportunities to draw closer to Allah.
